Advocating for a Healthy Michigan Whether you are a veteran grassroots activist or have not yet tested the advocacy waters, this is an excellent opportunity to take the plunge and take a 'heart-healthy' message directly to Michigan lawmakers! We'll gather in Michigan’s historic Capitol for an issue briefing then meet with representatives and senators in nearby office buildings. Our mission is twofold: 1. To advocate for the smoke-free air bill that has been struggling through the system for many years. 2. To urge legislators’ to maintain funding in the state budget for the Healthy Michigan Fund.
